Nobody knows for true if the legendary and mythological Roc bird lives in its high mountains or if the hero Gilgamesh found the secret of eternal life in its watersof the Indian Ocean. But everybody agrees that the island of Socotra in Yemen represents nowadays a rare example of what ancient times meant.
