SOQOTRA
Nadie sabe a ciencia cierta si el legendario y mitológico pájaro Roc vive en sus altas montañas o si el héroe Gilgamesh encontró el secreto de la vida eterna en sus aguas del Océano Índico. Pero todo el mundo está de acuerdo en que la isla de Socotra en Yemen representa hoy en día un raro ejemplo de lo que significaba la antigüedad. Un lugar donde las viejas historias de los djinns o genios se hacen realidad en la medida en que podemos sentarnos y escuchar el soplo del viento, el susurro del mar, el sonido del árbol drago o nuestros pasos sobre las rocas.
Nobody knows for true if the legendary and mythological Roc bird lives in its high mountains or if the hero Gilgamesh found the secret of eternal life in its watersof the Indian Ocean. But everybody agrees that the island of Socotra in Yemen represents nowadays a rare example of what ancient times meant. A place where the old stories of the djinns or genius come true as far as we are able to sit down and listen the breath of the wind, the whisper of the sea, the sound of itrs drago tree or the sound of our steps on the rocks.
